Who is it for ?

The Kadence Jamming Series Passive Line Isolator is designed for musicians, sound engineers, DJs, bands, recording enthusiasts and event technicians who need cleaner audio connections. It is especially useful for live stages, rehearsals, PA systems, studios, conferences, houses of worship and mobile sound setups where unwanted hum, buzz or electrical noise can affect the audio.

Transformer-Based Audio Signal Isolation

The Kadence K-PA-IC01 Jamming Series Passive Line Isolator uses transformer isolation to electrically separate connected audio equipment while maintaining the audio signal path. This helps reduce unwanted interference caused by differences in grounding between connected devices.

Helps Eliminate Ground-Loop Hum & Buzz

Designed for live and professional audio environments, the K-PA-IC01 helps address ground-loop-related hum, buzz and unwanted electrical noise that can occur when multiple audio devices are connected to different power sources or grounding points.

Professional XLR Input & Output

The isolator features a balanced XLR female input and XLR male output, making it suitable for integration into professional audio signal chains. It can be placed between audio equipment and the mixer, stage box or other downstream equipment.

-15 dB PAD for High-Level Signals: The dedicated -15 dB PAD attenuates the incoming audio signal by 15 dB. This is useful when connecting a relatively high-output source and helps provide additional headroom to reduce the possibility of overloading the input of downstream equipment.

GND LIFT for Noise Troubleshooting

The GND LIFT switch helps break unwanted audio ground paths that can create hum and buzz. It provides sound engineers with a quick way to troubleshoot grounding-related noise during live performances, rehearsals, recording sessions and installations.

Full-Band 20 Hz

20 kHz Audio Response: With a typical 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency response, the K-PA-IC01 is designed to accommodate the audible frequency range used in music, speech and professional audio applications while maintaining a natural signal path.

FAQs

1) What is a passive line isolator?

A passive line isolator is an audio device designed to help reduce unwanted hum, buzz and electrical noise between connected audio equipment. It helps keep the audio signal clean without requiring an external power supply.

2) What is the main purpose of this product?

Its main purpose is to isolate audio equipment from unwanted grounding-related noise. It is particularly useful when connecting multiple pieces of equipment in a live sound or studio setup.

3) How does it help reduce hum and buzz?

When different audio devices are connected, unwanted electrical noise can sometimes enter the audio signal. The isolator helps separate the connected audio paths, reducing this unwanted interference and providing a cleaner sound.

4) What is the GND LIFT switch used for?

The GND LIFT switch helps disconnect the audio ground connection when a ground-related hum or buzz occurs. It is useful for troubleshooting noisy audio connections during live events, rehearsals and studio sessions.

5) What does the -15 dB PAD do?

The -15 dB PAD reduces the incoming signal level when the connected source is producing a strong signal. This can help prevent the receiving audio equipment from becoming overloaded.

6) Does the product require a power supply?

No. It is a passive device, so it does not require batteries, an adapter or an external power supply for normal operation.

7) What type of connections does it use?

It uses XLR connections, with an XLR female input and XLR male output, making it suitable for integration into professional audio signal chains.

8) Can it be used with microphones?

It can be used in compatible microphone signal paths, particularly when unwanted hum or noise needs to be addressed. However, care should be taken with condenser microphones that require phantom power, as compatibility should be confirmed before use.

9) Can it be used with musical instruments?

Yes. It can be useful with compatible instrument and audio outputs, particularly when connecting instruments to mixers, PA systems or other audio equipment where unwanted hum or buzz is present.

10) Is it suitable for live stage events?

Yes. It is well suited for live performances, concerts, rehearsals, PA systems, conferences and event setups. Sound engineers can use it as a practical solution when troubleshooting unwanted noise in a signal chain.

11) Will it change the tone or character of my audio?

The device is designed to maintain a clean and natural audio signal rather than intentionally changing its tonal character. Its purpose is to help reduce unwanted noise while allowing the original audio to pass through naturally.

12) Is it the same as a DI box?

No. Although both devices can provide signal isolation, they serve different primary purposes. A DI box is generally used to interface instrument-level or unbalanced signals with professional balanced audio systems, while this product is primarily intended for signal isolation and reducing ground-loop-related hum and buzz.

13) Setup, warranty, and replacement support

You get a 1-year manufacturing defect warranty and a 7-day replacement window for manufacturing defects.
