Come play a little – Open Mic

Long long time ago …

Live music they say is dying, not if we can help it. Music has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. As a baby, my uncle played Pink Floyd and Beatles to calm me down. I think a lot of us can relate to being inspired by, be happy and cry listening to music. So cut 30 years later we were told live music is dying in Bengaluru. This sounded wrong because this was it was live music capital with various Open Mic and bands performing. We, being a brand musical instruments that largely sold online, thought how can we make a difference. We started thinking about how can we build and engage a music community. Then it hit us like a power chord in a rock ballad, Kadence Xperience was born.

A space for all – Kadence Xperience Koramangala, Bengaluru

How to save a sinking ship.

We would open an experience store like no other. One where everyone is allowed to touch and feel and play all the instruments that are on display. Anyone could come sit and play music alone or with friends all day long if they want. We would curate various events to encourage people to take up music like workshops etc. We would have a huge range of instruments. From guitars to our signature ukuleles, from shiny saxophones, trumpets, and flutes to thumping cajons and drums, we will have everything laid out for you even if you just want to try them. This was our ideal store and oh my god did we nail it.

Come one and all and #letsmusic

In the wake of its launch, we knew that a very integral part of Kadence Xperience Koramangala Bengaluru had to be its now-iconic open mic nights. In Bengaluru, every Tuesday, young and old, men, women and children, all flock down and come together as a community to perform, encourage, meet new people and have a fun night in our Open Mic Tuesdays. It’s a free event, you can walk into it absolutely free. Registration links are sent out via WhatsApp and Messengers a day before and people are invited to pick their time slot. Once it starts its just magic. You can hear beginners tearing the roof down, professionals singing un-released singles and everyone just feeling the love and happiness spread through the room. This is what live music always did, it’s now what it will always do. They said live music was dead, well we just injected a big shot of adrenalin in it and its alive, well and kicking.
